Didn't you think Forest Whitaker gave the most moving acceptance speech (even though it probably meant that Peter O'Toole will die Oscar-less)?

PS, didn't Kate Winslet look stunning? And wasn't it amazing that Cameron Diaz was not dressed like a drag-queen?

I agree on all parts! Whitaker's speech was wonderfully moving, poor Peter O'Toole. Kate Winslet's dress was beautiful, but my favorite was Cate Blanchett's, just gorgeous! Cameron Diaz's dress was a little weird but she looked okay. Helen Mirren looked amazing, especially for a 61 year old woman. Boy Leonardo Dicaprio was handsome, I love the joke Ellen made! The Oscars are always fun to watch no matter who wins or loses, I love them.

I was very impressed with his speech. He seemed totally surprised and genuinely moved, but for once had a prepared speech. He seemed so shaken at the Globes and didn't really seem to know what to say. I also loved Coppola, Lucas and Spielburg giving Scorsese his award.
I loved Reese Witherspoon, Kate Winslet and Helen Mirren's gowns. I would love to look that good at 61! Cameron looked better than her usual mess, but I still hated the dress. And the black bow on Anne Hathaway ruined a beautiful gown.

Forest Whitaker gave a great speech! He was soooo moved ! It, I think, was very genuine. He's a great actor. Peter O'Toole should get an award for being Peter O'Toole. He has an award in my book.

I loved that the choir did what they do best...that was awesome!

What do you think about Jodie Foster not knowing where to go when she got on stage? Anyone see that little...."hmmph" w/the nod of the head ...??!!?????

Ellen did great! In my opinion it was very professional, as always.

Totally agree Forest Whitaker's speech was very moving and it was like he was burning that moment into his memory, I was very happy that he won.

You mean Cameron Diaz isn't a drag queen? Wow had me fooled. She definitely gets the Charmin dress of the night award that was one ugly dress!!

I didn't hear his speech ... but I'm glad that he won !!! *yay*

I'm undecided about Cameron Diaz's outfit ... her hair and make-up were flawless ... but the dress ... that's another story.

The most gorgeous girl of the night for me had to be Penelope Cruz ... elegant and simplistic!!! She was closely followed by Jada Pinkett-Smith, though it might've looked a bit understated to most, she was beautiful .... again, simple and sophisticated.
I loved Cate Blanchett's dress as well, cool and different! Queen Latifah looked great in black!

Can I just ask one thing about
*Gwyneth Paltrow
*Kirsten Dunst
*Nicole Kidman, and
*Anne Hathaway's dresses ...... ???

WHAT THE HELL ????????????

And why was Jennifer Hudson shoving her hand in her dress' pocket the whole night??Was that even a pocket??She looked good, but that was a bit of an arb thing to do!!

Helen did look good(esp. for her age!)

None of the guys really drew my attention, except maybe for Leonardo DiCaprio's co-star in "Blood Diamond" ... don't know his name, but he looked good.

Ellen was great(as usual :-)
"Goodmammas"

I absolutely adored Forest Whitaker's acceptance speech because I think that he was made to play that part and to win that Oscar; he was very touching and I feel like he'll be on the other side and I'll definitely see him on the other side.
I agree on all parts!

yeah, i was thinking the same thing. and i was really happy for Martin Scorsese. Helen Mirren and Jennifer Hudson seemed to be shaken up too. and everyone looked so beautiful, and
Abigail from Little Miss Sunshine was so cute when she was presenting one of the awards with Will Smith's son.

the dude is a great actor but he needs to work on acceptance speeches. Golden globes was gut wrenching to watch and tonight he started off horribly but ended on a roll. Average at best.
