Why doesn't she deserve it?
She gave a stellar performance and was rewarded accordingly, now if Beyonce had been nominated and won then i'd understand your frustrations.

I agree! Cate Blanchett was powerful in "Notes on a Scandal."
Don't worry about it though. Ms. Blanchett has been doing and will continue to do great films for a very long time. She has genuine talent.
Jennifer Hudson won the battle, but Cate Blanchett will win the war.

On the one hand, I saw dreamgirls and thought the movie was actually pretty terrible. I'm quite surrpised Eddie Murphy or Jennifer Hudson were even nominated. But on the other hand just skimming through the list of supporting actresses I have to admit they are slim pickings.

I have not yet seen Dreamgirls. I'm not sure why you think she doesn't deserve it though. Is it because she hasn't been in acting as long? Acting is something that requires as much natural talent as training and education.
Remember Oprah won an Oscar her first time out.

Seriously, Adriana Barraza should have won. She performed amazingly in Babel as the nanny who takes her charges to Mexico and gets stuck in the desert. Awesome job. In comparison, Jennifer Hudson just doesn't really measure up.

So who should? Cate Blanchet? Well, as a hollywood novice, she's quite outstanding, dont you think, I'm talking about hudson. Yea i'm pretty surprised that she won eventually. Although experts had started picking her up before Oscar. But come to think of it. Aside her huge arms, untoned body and crocodile mouth, she did pretty well in Dreamgirls.

i'm soooo chuffed and chuffed that she gained and that i'm hoping Simon is ingesting his words. I had a huge gamble with a chum and that i gained so i'm wealthy now and that i'm hoping that she gets extra action picture rolls and he or she gets a recording occupation. i'm chuffed this befell to her. i think of that's the 1st Oscar award for a individual whom apperead on American Idol. pass AI.

I'm semi okay with the fact she won! She did fairly well in that part, with the voice and all.....
Although for sound mixing I dont understand why Dream Girls won...I mean come on its just singing and blah stuff, no action like there was in the Pirates of the Caribbean...I don't understand why Dream Girls was nominated for alot of things.

She is not an actress, she is a big heffer that lost on American Idol, I don't get it. So many more well deserving people should have won this award. Must just be for the appeal for black people.

Your just to MAD to see it. Jennifer Hudson is a success story, started with nothing, losing american idol to winning an oscar, she sings amazingly and acted awsomely.
