I mean literally get rid of it, like have it hauled off or demolished, because it's old, ugly, and no one will buy it? If so, please let me know. I know that sounds a little crazy... but as I said in the last question I posted, I really need a "fixer upper" that my husband and I can fix to live in. We're in the West Tennessee area. Thanks....

Most trailers will be resold, even if they're starting to fall apart. The only ones that tend to be hauled off have been condemned.

Here a mobile home must be on a one-acre lot, and, if there is no mobile home on the property there is a fee you have to pay. So I don't think people would be selling their fixer-uppers without selling you the land as well. Check the newspaper and white and yellow pages for real estate agents who sell mobile homes. They can find you the best possible deal. You can also check with the mobile home dealers as when they put in a new trailer they will be getting rid of the old ones.

Actually, you should try posting it on craigslist.org.

You could offer to sell it cheap, or even post it as a freebie for someone willing to haul it away.

In a lot of economically depressed areas there are people who buy older models and fix them up to rent or resell.
