I don't have a Tivo but I have a DVR and I LOVE it!!! we first bought it so I could record shows to send to Iraq to my dad but now that he's home (thank God) I use it when I go to night classes so I don't miss House and Bones ;o) I LOVE it so much sometimes instead of watching the irritating commercials, I record whatever show is on live and watch a already recorded show until it's done so I can ff through the commercials and watch and erase 2 shows in the time it would take to watch about 1 1/2 in live time..... I recommend a DVR ;o)

YYYYYEEEESSSS! You will be SO happy with that purchase, and the longer the hours the machine has, the better.
As soon as you get it installed, it starts recording your favorite programs, so in 24 hours, you will never be bored with tv again! You can stop in the middle of shows, watch a different show, and come back to it's exact spot- you can't do that with a VCR.
They have this thing that is called a season pass that will record all of your favorite shows on the entire network, you can make it skip ones you've seen, and if you start a show, and you realize you've seen it, simply delete it.
Remember what I said when you get it- you will really be glad you bought it!
Oh, one more thing- if you buy two, they hafve this thing called home media feature- you can pass programs between rooms. I am a happy customer, and I swear I do not work for TIVO.

I love my Tivo. My family has 3 in the house and they are all connected so we can watch eachothers shows. It is also very reasonably priced (you can usually find a place that will give you the tivo box for free if you sign up for a monthly subscription! Cannot recommend it enough!!

Yes buy it. Your life will be so much better. I recommend that you purchase the life time membership or you can just simply pay a monthy fee.
You may also check with your local cable company. They should have similar products like TIVO and might cost you less. The downside of getting it from your cable company is that you must subscribe to digital cable in most cases. Try it out with them first. Im sure you could get some type of deal or free trial. If you already have cable, you should try it out.

If you watch a lot of TV, hate commercials, aren't around to watch the shows you want when they are on and hate to set DVD's, then a TIVo is great. You can preprogram in advance and just go. You don't have to think about it, you just get the programs you want. I think they are great.

hell yea **** think of all the time u save with not having to watch commericals or change the channel back n forth most ppl hate commericals and also think about all the time u save by fastforwarding threw the shows u dont wana watch or if u wana watch a certain show but cant becuz u have plans at the time it comes on.. tivo is great and saves u alot of time if u r the type of person who loves to watch tv

just thing, you can watch more tv, skip through commercials, and if you're runniong late for your fave showw....dont worry about it, tivo will take care of you!!

Tivo is evil.
Something that can fast forward through commercials is not right.
