For example, your supervisor or manager can tell you a lie that related to the job or company. Yes! You will probably believe him at that moment or that day, but you may find out the true an hour, day, month or year later. Your conscious and unconscious minds both perceive the lie, and your conscious mind is super small compare to the unconscious mind therefore, it can’t figure out the true at a short period of time, but your unconscious mind is really big and powerful, after it perceived the lie, it will keep processing or analyzing it, until it figure out the true then it will send the true information to your conscious mind, how long will it take? It is depended on your knowledge, ability and experience. Once, your employees found out that you lie to them, they will be frustrated and you lost your credits, and your use of delegate-authority won’t be effective anymore.

One can lie certainly and get away with it for awhile but once discovered by the one lied too can result in as you say lose of authority. I have a true story.......my great uncle lied to get his job, it seemed simple and Innocent, he lied about being a railroad worker. On this particularly job he needed to walk across the top of the moving train to check the couplings, walking back towards the caboose, ,,,,
Something hit him in the middle of the back, he turned to see what it was and the last thing he saw was the top of the train tunnel hitting him square in the face.
His lie was small ......seemingly, but it was small enough to get him killed, because that "thing which hit him the the middle of the back" was a small paddle swung across the tracks, enough feet away from the tunnel to warn the person to fall down flat, as the train was about to enter a tunnel......because of the lie......my great uncle paid with his life, certainly his lie lasted and worked for a brief time, but then one day everyone knew he had lied, for it was elementry that he should of known about the life saving hit on his back.
Lies are only temporary at best. You are right...

Some lies are easily discovered within days or even moments. Other lies are never discovered over an entire lifetime. It depends on the skills of the liar & the quality of the lie. Personally I am against lying (other than little white lies to spare someone's feelings "No you don't look fat" "Yes I like you're haircut" "What a cute baby!" etc.) but deception seems to be the way of the world...

what I think about lies, in my humble opinion, it's like the story of that elephant in the living room, everybody seems to see it, but everybody keep quite about. Why? Because the lie is on the center of our cultures, anyone and all of them, It's not because we accept it better than the truth, but the truth itself includes a responsibility and we may be slaves of our mouths, the human nature, it seems to me, it's more adequate to the good mood than to the bad mood.
