Syracuse orange is a good basketball team. They are 20-8 and teams in the top 25 are like 19-7 and they are in. Why isnt syracuse

Strength of Schedule. Im a huge cuse fan but what kills them in the NCAA discussion is their terrible out of conference schedule and the lack of quality wins. They have been beaten by some poor schools (drexel). These broadcasters dont look at the records they also check film and statistics. Cuse is always outrebounded. A team like Vanderbilt with only 19 wins is ranked in the top 20 because of there great numbers of quality wins. They snapped the Florida Gators huge winning streak and swept and very good Kentucky school.

because they aren't that good. the worst team in the top 25 is 18-9, and that is vandy and they have some really special wins. syracuse doesn't have the defining win over a big-time team, that the ranked teams with a comparable record do. i will admit that they should have gotten some votes though. syracuse has a fairly good record, but a top 25 team should have a realistic shot at the elite 8, and i really don't think syracuse has a realistic shot

Slow down fella, I am a die hard SU fan. But its the same thing every year, our early season schedule is so soft it kills us. The pollers take into account wins against top 25 teams (quality wins) losses to bad teams mid majors, & bottom of the barrel div. 1 schools. Also how you do in your conference just about every year we have to make a run in the big east tournament to qualify. I dont see it happening this year. The team is to inconsistent our bigs show up one game then mail it in the next. And Paul Harris has been a major disappointment.

I love the Orange, but overall they have been a disappointment this season in too many games. Too many games they should have won... at home Witchita State and Drexel, and the 2nd half fold at Louisville... with three seniors in the starting lineup you wouldn't expect those type of losses... I can see why they aren't in the top 25 ahead of other squads and fear they won't get far in the NCAAs if they make it. But I'll be watching 'til the end... GO CUSE!

They should get in. The voters are screwing them this season.
