twenty laborers in 35 days is 700 laborer days. use this as a guide to solve the question. after 20 laborers for 11 days (220 laborer days) you drop down to 15. you now have 700-220 (480) laborer days remaining. for the next 4 days only 15 laborers are working (60 laborer days complete [480 - 60 = 420]) the original projected time was 35 days. at this time 11+4 (15) days have elapsed. there are 20 days left. 420 laborer days divided by 20 days equals 21 laborers to complete the job on time.
