Everyone loves to hear the words "I love you" and I think sometimes it just become a habit to say, "I love you, too".
Sometimes, at the particular time someone says those words to me I really don't feel like saying them because at that moment love is not an emotion I am feeling for them.
But, sometimes I say it anyway (even though I really do not want to) to keep from hurting their feelings or to keep from starting another argument. You know what I mean?

I hope to hear "I love you" if I tell someone. I don't get insecure if they don't reciprocate. I say it because I mean it.

I only say it to people I truly love, they don't have to reciprocate, I just want them to know they are loved.

No I don't get insescure if they don't say it back. To me, its like the biggest thing ever...and when I say it, I mean it from the bottom of my heart....and whomever I say *I love you* to, if they don't say it back to me....then they're not meant to love me....when and if they are, then they'll say it to me...
I am usually the first one to say those three words to someone and I can only think of one time, they weren't said back to me....it wasn't meant to be and I accepted that :)

I get worried if they don't say they love me back. I think love should be a mutual feeling.

After the first few dozen times it doesn't seem to make as much difference.
But the FIRST time is a real nail biter. Isn't it?

Yes I would. When I say it to anyone, I think they should say it back. (Except if they dont love me, then I probably wouldn't say it to them either)

I say it because I like to, and like to let my husband (for example) to know he is loved.
We both come from very rough backgrounds, with abusive parents, who never told us that they love us.
