I am a fan of Ellen's,but I was disappointed.She wasn't as funny as I thought she would be.

She did ok. She was clearly nervous in the beginning. She stumbled over her words a few times.
She was very safe but then, that's who she is. She's never been a particularly edgy comedienne like Jon Stewart or Chris Rock. None of her bits were as funny to me as the one Rock did when he interviewed people in the multiplex about the Best Picture nominees or the Oscar campaign parodies Stewart did last year. In lieu of being genuinely funny, she's inoffensive and that's why I've never been a fan of hers. I don't dislike her, I just don't think she's funny.

I think she did a phenomenal job, she kept things fresh. I was one of those who couldn't wait for her to come back to the stage. I bet she will be back again. The Speilberg and Eastwood thing was fabulous. I don't thing it went too long. The recycled joke thing was even cute. She had lots of other jokes that were great. I give her a thumbs up!

I liked her. Especially the "and America DID vote for Al Gore" bit after saying America didn't vote for Jennifer Hudson on Idol.
Great timing.

I thought she did a great job.In fact ,wish I saw more of her.The rest of it was making me sleepy.oh,and I loved the Jack Black and Will Farroll bit.

Hit and Miss.
That bit with Eastwood and Spielberg was classic.
But it dragged on too long.

Yes, she did. She is very funny. Her comedy is original, and her timing perfect. Better than most host.

i didn't see the oscars, but i bet she did a good job. although i am not big on the gay thing ...or anything gay for that matter, she has a great personality. did you see "finding nemo"? that movie wouldn't have been nothing without her ...she was soooo funny.
