A calndar month is a month defined by a calendar. Months are generally rounded off as being 4 weeks, but most are a few days more than that. So, if you are giving a calendar month's notice from today (Mon Feb 26), then your quit date would be Mon March 26.

that's odd, usually its a 2 week notice (as in 10 working days). If you want to give one calendar month's notice it can be interpreted as a 4 week notice (as in 20 working days). or if you mean literally one calendar month that would mean, uh, one calendar month...i think. =)

Okay a calendar month means that if you give notice on the 22nd of March you will finish on the 22nd of April.

The way this whole calendar month thing works is simple.
(And ignore the rude idiots who insulted you and gave you the wrong answer at the same time).

There are 365 days, 52 weeks and 12 months in a year. So in theory each month should be 31.416666 days long or 4.33333 weeks long. But it doesn't work that way. So a calendar month measures from a date in the month to another i.e. the 22nd to the 22nd.

Often if you pay rent it is worked out pcm (per calendar month). The rent is $180.00 per week, but how much is that per month? Well we multiply 180 times 52 (weeks per year) and then divide it by 12 (months per year) and we get the rent pcm which is $780.00.

They do this because the rent is due on the same day of the month i.e. the 3rd of the month so on the 3rd of the month you give them $780.00 and it works out to be $180.00 per week by the end of the year.

I hope I have helped, good luck!

I am sure it does not make a difference, most places just let you go on the spot when you give notice. They feel that they can't trust you and that if they do keep you, you will only do part of the work that you did before.

I would assume that if you gave notice on the 21st of this month, your last day would be the 21st of the following month!

The shortest calandar month is February, with 28 days. The longest months are 31 days. What's 3 days? Give 'em 31 and quit worrying about it. Geesh.

You are kidding, right? I mean about not knowing what one calender month is? One calender month is four weeks, 30 days etc. But usually in the USA anyway we give a two week notice. I guess it depends on where you live and what line of work you are in.
