I have applied online for a job in Nigeria through Xander Recruitment Inc, Nigeria. After 15 days the Xander Recruitment send me an appoinment letter stating that I have selected by Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation(NNPC), and you have to secure valid work & residence permit for Nigeria and mail to us for further processing. They write me when I will mail them these document they will give me to month advance salary and send neccessary document by courier. They also write me, if you don't have these documents you should contact with Glabal Traveling Agency, UK for getting these document. I have contacted Global Traveling Agence, UK. The Global Traveling Agency is asking me a sum of 915 GBP by Western Union Money Transfer for securing these document. I have communicated this to Xander Recruitment that this is not secure but they advise me to go ahead. Shall I go ahead or they both are cheating me.

Be VERY careful when having anything to do with Nigeria. There are many con artists who make a very good living preying on unsuspecting potential workers, lonely hearts' clubs, etc.
I am suspicious that you haven't heard directly from the potential employer (NNPC). It's also suspicious that they want you to get your documents through a travel agency, rather than the Nigerian Embassy or consulate. Too many aspects of this are going through third parties-- RED FLAGS EVERYWHERE! Stay in the UK; it's safer.

* You do not have to pay to get a job. If a company is really interested in hiring you, they will assist in getting necessary paperwork completed.
* Work and residence permits should be obtained through an embassy and/or government agency, not through a travel agency.
* Payment for permits (or any other travel documents) should not be required to be Western Union -- that is untraceable, and a sign that the "company" is scammers. Legitimate companies are happy to accept cheques, bank transfers, etc.

Since Global Traveling Agency is trying to scam you, and Xander Recruitment tells you to go ahead, they are both trying to cheat you. Sorry, but that job doesn't exist.
