i thought it will burn images in flat panels and such

a TFT (not Plasma) that has a native support for 1080p.
if you find one that supports 1080i at a very good price, go after it ONLY after you make sure (through forums and reviews) that the de-interlacer is of good quality (if it is, you won't see the difference from a 1080p set).

sony xbr 1080p for the ps3 because it can play 1080p but the 360 only does 720p so there is no need to pay the extra for the sony xbr
