as a make-up artist, i have to say the best cover-up for ANYTHING is coverblend and/or exuvience by neostrada. its a skin-care line so while you are covering up, it benefits your skin greatly. coverblend comes in a concealer tube, makeup tub, a foundation jar..as well as a leg and body coverup for tattoos, birthmarks, etc.
the second label i suggest is dermablend..its a little thicker but really popular.
i suggest the coverblend by neostrata though. i little goes a long way. just rub it with your clean fingertips in a circular motion and thin it out..the makeup pots can get too thick and you just want to 'stretch' it. it works great ALL day. also there is a setting powder in both labels (coverblend and dermablend) that you use last in two colors each - sand and clear. it just takes a bit.
enjoy!

trial and error but if you skin tone is uneven, you are supposed to use two different colors...it's not unheard of...it's what you do.
