I was fortunate enough to follow Montana's career at short distance, going to a number of games at the old Stick...also went to all four victory parades after they won...he had to be the best that ever played the game...4 for 4 rings...3 SB MVPs,highest lifetime passer rating in SB, most completions in SB, NEVER THREW AN INTERCEPTION IN A SUPER BOWL, only QB to lead teams in both conferences to conf. championship game...came back from season ending back injury to be a winner...thats one hell of a resume...

Joe Montana of course. He's won 4 Super Bowls with the 49ers. Dan Marino is good too, but never won any. Joe Theisman wasn't as good as those 2.

I like Marino most. Don't know much about Theisman but don't like Montana based on personality. As who I would want as a QB though that would likely be Montana.

Montana for his understanding of different defenses, Marino for his quick release and finally theisman was very good moving around the pocket. Go for the two from Notre Dame, both have rings.

Montana first, because of the rings, and his SB performance not to mention his exceptional play. Then Marino, although he never won a SB, then Theisman

Dan Marino, Joe Montana, listening to nails on a chalkboard, listening to a dentist's drill, Joe Theisman.
Cheers!

Dan Marino. He is from my area too. There are Marinos in my town. Not sure if they are related or not. One of the Marinos lived in same apartment building as me when I was a kid.

My pick would have to be Montana, the man could be easily argued as the best QB ever. just look at his accomplishments: Four Super Bowl rings, three Super Bowl MVP's,eight Pro Bowl appearances. not to mention he was the master of come-behind-wins (he made a whopping 31 fourth quarter victories). and he was only a 3rd round draft pick!.
