ok.. i was trying to scroll down a webpage and all of a sudden my scroller just stopped scrolling. you know, the scroll button in between the left click and the right click on the mouse. when it worked it used to make a clicking sound when i scrolled but now when i do it, it makes no sound. my mouse is connected correctly to my computer and my left click and right click work, but not the scroll button. it does not scroll anything at all when i move it. what happened to it?? and how can i fix it???

If you restart your computer your mouse will start working again.

This has happened to me before. Maybe you can try disconnecting the mouse and reconnect it. You might want to look at the Mouse settings under the Control Panel as well, and make sure the mouse driver, etc. is still working. Try clearing out any obstacles/dust in and around the mouse and make sure its on a flat mouse pad. Another option is doing a Ctrl + Alt + Del (if you're on a PC) and killing any processes that might take up unnecessary memory. This might help reinitialize the mouse.
As the person above mentions, you might also consider looking into getting another mouse, though I'd save this for the last resort (considering that it has been functional in the past).

Open Control Panel then click on Mouse. Check your mouse's properties.

Catch another mouse. There are plenty in India.

maybe you need a new mouse.... or use the button page up ,page down instead
