i bet they do, sure they do, here is a tidbit, the last recorded llive rattle snake in new york city, was in what is now a park in the bronx, sometime before it was called the bronx, way back in the mid to late 18th century, that is in the seventeen hundreds,i know you did not ask that, but, hope you appreciate that tidbit of knowledge,you can use it on Jeopardy or some such show,amaze and astound your friends and neighbors with this little known fact.have a good day friend

Pandabear, you missed a bunch of the desert snakes... leaf-nosed, sand snakes and the like... but it is ok... you did well. Garter snakes in LA, sure... as common as coyotes if you know where to look.
