Well obviously you should wear shoes that match your dress.
What color shoes do you own?
I am guessing you have to have black dress shoes...but you may want to dress it up more. Actually if this is like for prom or a formal event, gold or silver open-toed shoes would go great actually if you are wearing gold or silver lined jewelry.
The conventional choice is to wear purple shoes but you probably do not own purple shoes so get a color that can go with other outfits! A gold or silver high heel or open-toed shoe can go with basically any dressy gown.

If you are in the mood to wear a bright shade of purple, then you should consider dark accessories or a black coat to go along.
Dark purple, on the other hand, should be teamed with light neutral colors like beige, cream and off-white. If you don’t want to be ousted by your friends and colleagues in a social gathering couple purple only with blacks, brown, cream, beige, white or on the outside a tan color. At no cost should you include any other colors.
Other bright colors are a big no-no with purple. Pinks, oranges and red are color which you should not even give a single glance to while deciding to wear something purple.

Ok, your shoes should match your accessories, I wouldn't really recommend purple because you wanna ''bring the dress out'' so I suggest:
White or even a Tan or ''Off-White'' colour [with white accesories of course]
Silver/greyish [probably the best in my opinion, match it with silver earrings, necklace etc]
Black [onxy earrings etc-in case you didnt kno onxy is a black gemstone so this will match]
Gold [can work but ehhhh]
P.S If you do decide to go with purple at least wear a different shade purple [lighter purple/darker purple, preferrably lighter]so that it doesnt look like just one, bland/plain/boring outfit!

Any kind of metalic will work, you can get purple metalic shoes which would look cute. Depending on the length of the dress you can wear ballet flats, stiletos, or just small heels. Silver, gold, black or white metalic would work too. Or just black white silver or purple. Maybe tan or neutral also, depending on the look you are going for.

Deep purple , like a purple jewel tone would look gorgeous with gold pumps or peep toes. You'll look great.A lighter purple dress, think amethyst... would look nice with black or silver. You could also wear flats, if youre going for a more casual look.
Let us know what you decide!

it depends on how bright or dark the dress is, you might want to use some black open toe heels or silver one's, maybe if you shoould go to the mall and also try to look for a similar color to it... but you have three different color choices, pink does not look good with purple when dressing casual...does colors to be combined are for young girls...

probably either a nice white (if you can pull it off =D), black, or the EXACT same shade of purple. I would probably go with the black if it was a darker purple dress, or white shoes if the dress was a lighter shade of purple.

You could go with standard black shoes. If you go with the white shawl you could even wear dark brown shoes, but not if you wear the black shawl. Maybe a gold or silver shoe. Even a nude colored shoe could work. Basically, any neutral.

I'd pick a strappy metallic silver with faux diamonds embroidered or a stappy bronze. But I wouldn't pick black unless there was some black on the dress or if you're wearing a black necklace.

black shoe will go with any dress. but i think a white shoe will give a good contrast and will give the attention Ur dress deserves and still get its own.
