Al Gore didn't win the Oscar. The producers of the documentary did. reading the sour grape "answers" from these anti-environmentalists one can only hope that they are a small minority or our planet is in BIG trouble. ya gotta wonder even if there's doubt in their narrow minds that Global Warming isn't real that they'd not want to take a chance that it is and fail to save the planet their children and children's children will inherit. are they so selfish and shortsighted that they'd risk their grand children's future just because they hate "tree hugging liberals"?

Al Gore did NOT win the oscar, the producer of the documentary did. Al Gore went on stage with the producer and spoke after the producer was finished.

Al Gore's film about the dangers of global warming, "An Inconvenient Truth," the third-highest-grossing documentary ever, has won an Oscar for best documentary.

Given his unmatched experience and leadership on issues of moral imperative, Gore is increasingly seen as Democrats' best bet to win back the White House.

He got the most votes by the Motion Picture Academy. The same way anyone else gets an Oscar.

They give out awards I agree with and some I don't agree with. I don't watch those shows as they are a bunch of "see me" people rewarding themselves for what they were already over paid to do. They make me sick.

It's Hollywood. The movie could have an hour and twenty minutes of Al Gore calling Bush a liar while cutting his toenails and it would have won an Oscar.

He helped make, "An Inconvenient Truth", a movie about same.

IF George W. Bush made a movie, it'd be called, "Oil -- America's Best Patriotic Legacy, Blessed by Christ". He'd get the Exxon Award for Deceptive Advertising.

And they say the Oscars hate science fiction...

If Micheal Moore can even be considered for an Oscar for that horrible piece of crap "Fahrenheit 9/11" then any schmuck with a liberal biased fictionalized piece of political rhetoric can win.

Sad really sad... George C. Scott had the right idea about the Oscars.... too bad more people in Hollywood don't have the guts to tell them to F' off.
