I saw that test on Mythbusters in a 2004 episode. It was interesting to watch and it can really cause some serious burns. A couple of the cast members suffered minor burns during the shoot.

I heard it's same for eggs.
You heat it up for about 30 seconds or a minute or so and take it out. And if you poke the yellow part or bite into it, it explodes.
