Who did more for civil rights, MLK, or Abe Lincoln?

Both Martin Luther King and Abraham Lincoln were great leaders. Who do you feel did more to advance civil rights ?

it depends on ur look on it.

Lincoln freed the slaves giving African Americans freedom and gave them independence.
MLK however gave the African Americans hope and a will to fight peacefully against racism and judgement and helping get equal rights to everyone

together they helped everyone be equal, it is more a matter of who came first

Lincoln for sure. And yes they both did a great deal. Lincoln and MLK shared the same vision and took different approaches to the problem. Lincoln was first and in a more powerful position and his actions paved the way for people like MLK. I believe that even MLK would have had little or no success if it weren't for people like Abe leading the way before him.

I may not be comprehensive in my argument,but i may tend to think Martin Luther King did a lot for civil rights movement not only in America but the world in general.He fought against all odds to fight racism and paid with his life.It is thro his efforts blacks and other races gained equal recognition from whites.Subjugation of other races was the order of the day before MLK said enough was enough.God rest his Soul in eternal peace.I have honoured him by naming my first born son after him.I can only compare him with Mother Teresa of Calcutta.Abraham Lincoln was a freedom fighter just like Nelson Mandela and many others in the world.They also have honour in their own rights.

Some people said Lincoln, but I think it was MLK because what Lincoln did, he did just for America, what MLK did changed the world.
