That shouldn't be the issue. What neither side can disagree with is the links between mercury and fossil fuels to cancer in humans. Obviously nobody can argue that the trash being put in the air is harmful to humans and the environment, but as long as everyone is focused on global warming, nothing will be done about it. It will be debated for years along with illegal immigration, abortion and so many other things that aren't being solved but are being used solely for political agendas, and the people are being used with them.
It is a political term, nothing more.

People can argue about global warming until their blue in the face. Maybe mankind is responsible for it, and maybe he's not. Personally I find it hard to believe that this is the first time in Earth's 4 billion year history that the temperature his risen a few degrees over a 50 year period, but that's just me! The BOTTOM LINE for me is that tougher environmental laws and mankind starting to learn how to clean up after himself couldn't possibly be a bad thing! Regardless of who is to blame for "global warming".

You are correct to a certain degree. However, the libs that are pushing global warming have another agenda. That agenda is for the US to slow it's productivity to that of some of the larger third world countries. They have had a hard time selling this pathetic story to the Midwestern and Northern states this winter.
Did you see D.C today? Man what a snow storm.

I've often wondered the same thing. I'm far from convinced that we have the ability to meaningfully alter the earth's climate. But that doesn't mean I like chewing my air. I can just look at a tail pipe, and know that I don't want to be breathing what's comming out. This grandiose, all encompassing, warming catastrophe might be doing more to hurt, than to help. If we focus on the little things, the ones that are actually affecting our lives NOW, we might be able to do something productive.

Haven't you heard of the Kyoto Protocol? There are things being done that you are just oblivious to. Without debating the best way to go about something, then unproductive plans will be made. That is why things are being debated thoroughly at the expense of time.
Anyways santa will become homeless sooner or later, whether you belive in global warming or not.

Actually I'm focused on 20 million illegal immigrants in my country, most likely some of them are terrorist,Also im focused on my kids fighting in Iraq, for a senseless war for oil. but what the hell, our president is happy so,guess citizens dont matter. When this country is a 3rd world country will it really matter if we have global warming,at least that nature. Thanks for being one of the AMERICANS ,that are actually awake. MARCH IN JUNE

I'm not gonna' get into whether global warming is real or not. People focus on it because it's this all-encompassing, inescapable idea. People think, "I can get vaccinations for all the diseases, guns for all the terrorists and rob banks for the insane tuition costs. But global warming? WHAT CAN I DO?!"

Uhh, well, maybe people are focused on it because it's a problem. Making reference to other problems won't make that one go away.
