I have been shaving my head since I was 14, I am now almost 18. I love shaving it and Showing it. Some people have problems with it. (Mainly family.) I'm not asking for anyone for "approval" in defying my family, but what I'd like to know is Would anyone have a problem with a FEMALE family member, shaving their head? I know it's my choice to shave my head or not but I've decided to put it off for a bit. My head will be shaved again don't get me wrong, but how would you feel? How do you react to women who shave their heads? How would you feel if someone was trying to put restrictions on your body?
Thanks have a nice, or at the very least, bearable day!

hey if you enjoy the feel of a shaved head then that's great.. i guess the question your parents have is wel, why are you shaving? is it about being a rebel? or is it about comfort?

whenever anybody does something that deviates from the norm, people tend to get defensive and question the activity.

try to explain to them why you do it and how it makes you feel more true to yourself.

nobody likes having family pressure to conform to a certain way.

i honestly don't know any women who shave their heads, but i certainly would not let their shaving affect my views of them. i'm sure you are a wonderful person that would make a great friend or girlfriend.. i'd just want you to be happy and comfortable with yourself and your body..

My friend and I were JUST talking about this. Personally, I wouldnt shave my own head because its way out of my comfort zone. And if a female family member or friend wanted to shave their head, I would probably warn them against it. Because its something many girls would probably regret later on. But if they were dedicated to the idea, I wouldnt try to hold them back. I mean, in the end, its your body and you have to live with it. Also, hair grows back so its not a huge deal.

It is a common steriotype that lesbians will shave their heads. If you don't mind this, or can put up with people's misconceptions, than dont worry about it and express yourself! be who u r, not who others want u 2 b. If you did this for a while and r not sure now, just think about what YOU want, and if u want, u can change it. by the way, there is nothing wrong with doing whats in style every now and then, so long as u like it. its ur hair!!!

Nope not at all, I have been shaving my head for 12 years and have dated several bald women, way before Brittany, I find them very sexy and strong. No I wouldn't have a problem if a family member did it.

I usually don't use capital letters, but WOMEN WITH SHAVED HEADS ARE HOT! I don't shave it all the way down, but I like to keep it really short. The problem I get is that I have some masculine facial features and small boobs, so I get called "sir" waaay too much...

um I love my hair and would never chose to do that. But people have the right to do to their body what they wish. i'm not going to judge someone for shaving their head ( okay maybe brittany spears) if a member of my family wanted to do it I would wonder why but in the long run who really cares it's just hair and it can grow back. so people can dop what they want...that's how i feel. it's whatever

I would honestly not like it. Women are typically known for having long hair, and I personally do not like it when woman have no hair, unless it is due to a medical condition or chemotherapy. I would have a problem with it. I may not say it to the person's face, but I would probably tell other people how much I don't like it. But I would respect their choice, I just wouldn't like it.

i feel respect for the people who shave there heads, because they are defying the norm. I really hate when people say "your whatever you can't do this" and normally do whatever i was planing too anyway. so yeah deep respect for dealing with all the people who disagree with you about shaving your head
