The Hart family is the reason I became a wrestling fan to begin with. I am a die hard Bret Hart fan and a big Owen Hart fan. Owen Hart was a catalyst in wrestling because he was one of the first heavyweight to show that even though he is bigger and heavier than a cruiserweight he can still do cruiserweight high-risk moves. Not only that, Owen was the complete package when it came to being a pro wrestler, because not only was he great at everything wrestling-wise, but he also was great on the mic and could play both a face and a heel great. When people ask which death was harder to take between Owen Hart and Eddie Guerrero, for me it was Owen because he was such a great representative of what pro wrestlers should be (not saying that Eddie wasn't either). Personally, I think Owen Hart should have gotten into the Hall of Fame the same time his older brother Bret did or at least this year and the fact that he won't be is another example of how Vince holds grudges and how much of a bad person and complete asshole he really is! You know it came down to Vince and Triple H (if you don't think he has backstage control you are not paying attention) on if he would get in or not and everyone knew that Vince is still holding a grudge against the Harts not only because Bret has told him off countless times (and Triple H knows and Shawn Michaels both know they will never be in Bret Hart's league) but also because Owen's wife Martha told Vince off as well and she had every right to! It was mostly Vince's fault for Owen's death because Owen didn't want to do the stunt to begin with, there was no backup latches when there are always supposed to be, and they used a harness that could only hold six pounds and Owen was 225 pounds. Not only that but Vince made people leave the funeral early to make it to Raw on time. So of course Martha had every right to yell at Vince! This is just another example of Vince thinking he is pro wrestling and nobody can say otherwise and it infuriates me to no end! If the WWE is smart they will find a way to get Owen Hart in the Hall of Fame this year before they infuriate fans (like me) more. I hope that answers your question.

Yes he should be in the WWE Hall of Fame. He was such an excellent performer and also a leader in the locker rooms. Lets see they only inducted 3 so far so he might have the chance yet this year.

Owen should have been inducted into the hall of fame years ago. But considering its all about politics, who knows. Bret just got in last year for Christ sakes

In a recent interview aired on Wednesday 21st of February on my local radio station Beat Fm Bret Hart stated his anger and upset at WWE’s failure to induct his late brother Owen into this years HOF. He said that their over looking of Owen was disrespectful to the Hart family to Owens fans and Owens wife.

His time will come, but you gotta wait for the new Hart Foundation to show up first that will be the best time to do it there are still lots of 80's wrestlers to get in first (I know Owen came in the 88 Survivor Series as the Blue Blazer, but we want Owen in as himself.)

I'm not really sure if this is really the right time. It may be too soon. I mean, he was a great wrestler, but his popularity played off a lot on his brother Bret and he is more well known for his death and the circumstances around it. Maybe in five years we will be able to properly look back on his career and honor him for it. But we are not ready now.

Yeah he should've been inducted a while ago! If Eddie gets in a year after his death, Owen should totally be in there!! Hopefully he finally gets his due this year!

Absolutely, he did alot for this business and eventually lost his life because of it. and in front of all his fans, friends, and family to boot. Eddie Guerrero was in about a year after his death, not to take anything away from Eddie but Owen deserves it just as much.
