i live in a conservative town, and much is made of a girl's "reputation" here. so if a girl is aggressive and assertive, is she a "bad" girl, or simply goin for what she wants?

Don't put too much value on other people veiws. If you are assertive then you should be who you are, if they have a problem with it then guess what ..... THEY are the ones with a problem, and not YOU.

I don't know what makes a good girl or a "bad" girl. All I know is that when I was younger, I was considered a bad girl, sex with many, drugs and rock and roll. Now I am a little older, married, faithful and a mother of two children. Am I still bad now? I think not. I think that as an individual you have to set your own moral standard, as you are never going to please everyone.

Typically a bad girl is a girl who acts or appears sexy or soultry; or as you say aggressive and assertive.
Though many women will just say that she's just going for what she wants.
Men will say what I've said.
This is just because of the mere fact that men think about sex more than women do...and women have been more trained to go for what she wants, rather than to be the house wife who stays at home and takes care of the family.

If every girl wishes to become a good girl, well, I feel sorry for all the shy guys in your town.
In my opinion, a good girl (a good person) is a person who lives up to their words, is honest, and fights for what's right. So if you think you have to make the first move, cos the guy wouldn't get your clue any other way, then why not?

i don't really know where you live, but I think you should do what is right...do what you want, but make sure you're doing what is right....
