I have the movie and think it is incredible. It has one of the best stories ever. I'm not a huge fan of romance movies, but this one and The Notebook rank up there as my favorites. I truly believe we all have someone we are destined to be with and maybe that's why I love them so much.

I thought it was visually a work of art and a good way of realizing the narrative of the description of the afterlife in the book to film.
I, however, read the book first so I am partial to it over the movie. The movie was slammed by critics and those who went to see it but, IMO, it was nowhere near as bad as was made out to be and was very enjoyable.

I hated this movie. I thought it was visually interesting, but the 'message' was horrible. I know from personal experience that the way to help someone who is in depression is not to join them in their depression.
I also hated the idea that people who commit suicide live in a muddy hell.
Movies like this seem to try way WAY to hard to pull on heartstrings. If a movie has to work that hard, chances are it's not worth the work.
Ick.

Okay, you either are going to like it or hate it. Alittle confusing at times but I liked the message.
