Less brain power involved in nonsense answers.
Lots of people are on here just for fun, not educational purposes.
Most people don't want to take the time to get involved or contemplate the answer to a sincere question.

It is difficult to answer the sincere questions. It requires deep thinking to honestly answer a sincere question while the stupid questions only require a snappy line or two. Personally I like to mix it up and answer some of each. I may learn something from a good question but I might get a laugh out of a stupid one.

Just kidding. You're right, it seems that humans are like flies: they tend to gather on a pile of... you know what. But, don't worry, the ones who overlooked your question couldn't have given you a decent answer, anyway. Did you notice how many people are semi-literates, here? They can barely spell their own names, how could they answer serious questions which involve thinking?! Once I asked everybody to tell me if they also think that good humor died (it was after I saw Norbait... or whatever the name of that movie was) and nobody answered. My questions rarely get more than 7 answers. Oh, if it's about religion, then, yeah, everybody has something to say, everybody is the holder of the truth! I think that people should be selected before they are given the right to post questions and to answer questions on Yahoo: general knowledge and grammar. I spoke!

It depends on my mood. I answer sincere ones quite often in the hopes that I can help that person. Best answer is a bonus here, my main goal is to help. The stupid questions I give stupid answers to, that is what they are looking for, it gives me two points, possibly a best answer and releives stress to 'mouth off' back to their moronic questions. It lets my inner child and creativity and vivid imaginations run wild.

because people now a days do not care, and no one is sincere anymore, people have been saying this for maybe a few thousand years, why do you think,not everybody is like you, not everybody has a brain they value,you will learn this as time passes
