All you have to do is press Alt and then a number. The number you press must be from the numlock pad. So....
Alt+1 ☺
Alt+2 ☻
Alt+3 ♥
Alt+4 ♦
Alt+5 ♣
Alt+6 ♠
......
Alt+14 ♫
.... and so on...

push alt and 3.......not the 3 on the top of your keyboard but the 3 on the right side of it
