So few, I can't even name any in high office that aren't so tied up in special interests and their party they have lost sight of the voters. They need to start making decisions on key issues. All they do now is streamline around them in order to use the issues to get votes. Honestly, I do not think there are any politicians that are for the true good of America and her citizens. Can't make money being an honest politician.

There are a couple with good intentions, unfortuately America doesn't seem to want to go in the right direction. Joe Lieberman comes to mind, he seems to have a reasonble grasp of the military reality of what George Bush has done. Joe is a realist who speaks what he believes to be the truth, and public opinion or peer pressure bead off him like sweat. I like people like Murtha and Kerry as well. They have been there, they can't be B.S.ed into a corner by neo-con political pressure. On the right, I think McCain is about as close to a human being as a Republican neo-con vampire can get. I respect the man's military record, he was sure cutting and running on that carrier when his plane blew up.

Now for the said part. With out a Federal government who is willing to protect our Countries economic industrial base, the United States is doomed from within. None of them, Republican or Democrat seem to be doing that. For the past 25 years they have been servants of internatonal corporate conglomerates. Without the emergence of a real leader the U.S. is in serious trouble. No one want's to hear this, but Obama seems to be the only one not in the pocket of big business. I don't think his chances are any more realistic than Chris Rock and Berni Mac in that comedy, but Obama would be the best choice for the people of the United States.

Pity the power elite won't allow him to win the Presidency. It's not called the "White House" by accident.

I'm not so sure that our problems stem so much from the political arena as they do from the cultural arena...I believe that the closer we ( the people /voters, who make up our country & not the politicians) adhere to the values & true meaning of the Constitution as our forefathers meant it to be, the less apt we will be to be swayed by the left-wing radical, secular- progressive agenda of entitlement for all, even if you don't earn it, & stagnant socialism...The politician who will take this country in the right direction will be the one who adheres to the traditional values & moral fiber, set down in our Constitution. It's all about the Government providing Americans the "opportunity" to succeed, not in providing "entitlement" whether you earn it or not & everyone is "equal" & the Government takes care of you., and there is no public display of religion ( separation of church & state, you know) & everyone believes in others' "humaness" (atheism).....What kind of Government is that? I'll tell you.. that's socialism folks, or, for the uninformed, Communism... I will vote for the traditionalist, every time, for that's the direction I want my country to go..

now one is taking us in the right direction.Politicians are to preoccupied with polls. We need a new party to stand up for us.I would like to see a party stand up and present 10 priorities, for our country. These should not include things that the federal government should not be involved in ,like abortion, socialized medicine and gay marriage. The issues that should be dealt with are.
1) Strong military And strong foreign policy
2) Fixing social security
3) immigration
4) pass a constitution amendment so no new taxes an be added and pork barrel items be eliminated.Any money te government needs must come from existing tax revenue.
5)must reduce need or foreign oil.
6) fix the school systems. (vouchers for parents to pick schools).
7) reduction in government by 1/3
8) federal tax overhaul (eliminate the IRS make a flat national sales tax no income tax.)
9)Instead of a socialized health care system just cover major medical operations over 50,000,this would lower insurance for everyone.
10) improve our trade would wide to strengthen our economy.

Dick Cheney and his group of Neo-Cons. Now, here's the "why": Imagine some beast of a barbarian from the 6th Century bending you down to your knees, reading a couple of Sharia verses from the Koran, and then slowly and methodically sawing your head off at the shoulders. Wake up. We are at war with a bloodthirsty enemy who wants us all DEAD. I personally don't give a damn if I have to stand in a soup line begging for bread if I knew that would help completely destroy these animals, and be rid of their HIDEOUS religion. Now, get on the phone right now and call Dick and tell him your sorry...........................

Anyone who takes us out of Iraq is taking us in the right direction.

Anyone who believes we should expand this war in the Middle East by attacking Iran, is taking the United States down the path of ruin.

The only one I know of is Ron Paul. He's the only strict Constitutionalist in national politics.

To those who don't want the Constitution to be followed, try to change it. Just pretending it doesn't say what is clearly written, is the reason there's so little trust in government today.
