white lights from anywhere but the back-up and the headlights, other than add-on lamps for use when not driving, or which work with the headlights and back-up lights when driving, are illegal in all states. side lamps, as well as front blinkers, except as original equipment on very old cars, MUST be either orange at the front, or red toward the rear. clear lenses are permitted for side lamps only if the bulbs are yellow or amber. white side and turn lamps will get you a ticket since they can, and sometimes do, cause other drivers to be unable to see properly.
look at the turn lite on a large truck. the forward side is amber, while the rear side is red and side lights are sometimes both.

blinkers can be clear as long as the bulbs are amber. If it is a clear bulb and clear lens, it is illegal. It is illegal because blinkers have to be amber. They have to be amber so people know that it is the turn signal flashing rather than someone flashing their headlights at them.

It all depends on the law where you live. Usually clear bulbs and sidemarkers are illegal, due to the fact that only law enforcement and non street legal vehicles are allowed to have others colors besides the amber or yellow ones that usally come on vehicles.

Assuming you're in the u . s . a ., particular it fairly is prohibited. The Federal DOT has particular standards for the colour of lens' on motor vehicle lights. Why seek for an excuse to get a cost ticket?

white lights for headlights/driving lights only, yellow for front, sides and rear, red to rear only.
most times people get away with it because its just a fix-it ticket, not worth even getting pulled over for. but if the cops are suspicious of you for some other reason they use that as an excuse to pull you over
