my ex boyfriend which I still have strong feelings for is named George and his brother's name is Matt. I guess they're not greek names. So then would it be acceptable if they named one of their children Layla?

As far as I know, "Layla" is not Greek, but derives from Arabic and Hebrew; in Hebrew, "laila" means night, and one might say "laila tov" to wish someone a "good night."
