If I would get the sti I would just add an preformance exhaust and a cold air intake, or in the si i would get the same as the sti, plus turbo and pref ecu, intercooler, and other high prefonmance mods. So which is a better choice to go with

I'VE OWNED TWO ACURA GS-R'S AND A RSX AND A CIVIC SI. IF YOU OWNED HONDA AND ARE USE TO HONDA OVERALL REFINEMENT THE SUBARU IS GOING TO LOOK A LITTLE ROUGH AROUND THE EDGES. THERE NO DENYING THAT THE SUBARU HAS GREAT POWER AND DRIVE TRAIN BUT THE ONE I DROVE HAD A SHIFTER FROM HELL AND THE LOOKS WERE NOT MY TASTE. THE UPKEEP ON SUBARU IS GOING TO BE MORE ALSO. THE INSURANCE ON THE CIVIC IS GOING TO BE HIGH. I PERFER REFINEMENT OVER JUST PERFORMANCE OVER THE LONG RUN. YOU WANT TO ALSO LOOK AT A MAZDASPEED. THE SUBARU AND THE CIVIC REALLY ARE TWO DIFFERENT VEHICLES.

GET THE SUBARU!!
1-AWD is fun! :)
2-It's so much easier to take a relatively quick car and make it fast than to take a slower car and make it fast.

Its sounds like you are aiming for performance, not just a nice reliable car to drive to and from work, so get the high-performance vehicle! I'm guessing if money was an issue, you wouldn't even be considering buying the WRX.

This is not even a question, cuz this is 2 different class at two different price range. Which is better? Of course STI, its better than the civic in every single aspect. Besides fuel economy.
what getting in ur way is only Money. That would be a problem for urself to figure out...33K STI vs 22K civic? and long term ownership will cost even more...
If you giving it to me for free, i choose STI, if i have to pay for it, i want the Civic.

i own a shop, and id go with the Subaru ,i have drove one of these cars for a customer, and they run exceptionally well, better than i ever thought they would run and drive,a friend of mine has one,and it is what they say it is,a sporty car,but between the two choices you have there to choose from that would be an easy one,the wrx is a good looking vehicle,a lot better than the Honda is right now,you should go drive one of those, they will put you back in the seat, good luck,i hope this help,s.

It depends on what you're looking for in the car.. speed, price, gas mileage, maintenance cost? Hondas are rated #1 in reliability over all car brands.. if you're worried about price, definitely go for the civic. They cost less than the Subaru and Honda parts are way less than Subaru in terms of cost. If you're worried about speed than obviously get a Subaru since it's naturally aspirated and will be faster than a Civic with all that crap you load on it. Trust me, I've heard my fair share of modded civics and I feel like breaking a pencil everytime. But I'm warning you, don't get the Sub if you're on the border line of going broke.. because once something breaks, you're in trouble.

The WRX will be the better car. Not only is it designed to be turbocharged, it has all wheel drive and drivtrain designed to handle the 300hp. Getting a Civic up to 300hp is just asking for trouble and torque steer.

Get the Subaru. There far better cars than Honda's could ever hope to be.

Go with the Subaru, I don't like rice-burners but that is a sweet ride.
