hi, im very sorry to hear about your loss. however, i do know exactly where you are coming from. i to am RH- and have had several miscarragies (5 to be exact) one of them being like yours, where i was 12 weeks pregnant but the baby stopped growing around 6 weeks. when being RH-, you should get a rogahm shot after a miscarraige or after giving birth to a baby that is RH+. i didnt get the rogahm shot after any of my miscarraiges, then i got pregnant for the sixth time with my son and he has RH- blood and i carried him and had him with no complications. I got the rogahm shot at 28 weeks during my pregnancy. I now have FIVE healthy boys, some of which are RH+ and i am 28 weeks pregnant with my girl! so as hard as it is to miscarry just hang in there and make sure that you get the rogham shot after getting your dnc done, so that if you get pregant again your body doesnt fight it!!!

I'm very sorry for your loss. I am also Rh- and was given the shot by my doctor when I miscarried my 1st pregnancy. I was told that I needed the shot within 48 hours of the end (miscarriage) of the pregnancy. I would assume that a D&C would be similar circumstances. I was also told that I would need the shot if I bled at any time during my current pregnancy (which I did at 10/11 weeks-and also received the shot then), then at 28 weeks, and also after delivery. I was concerned about receiving the shot so many times but my ob said that it was really only to protect the next pregnancy I have. I would speak to your doctor and explain your feelings if he doesn't seem inclined to give you the shot. Good Luck!

Sorry for your loss, there are dozens of reasons miscarriages happen, it might not have been the rh factor. That said, I think you should talk to your doctor about administering the shot befor you get pregnant again rather than during. I wish you good luck next time around.

I am so sorry for your loss. My daughter had her rhogam shot at the birth of her first baby. When she had her second 5 years later, there was no problem. I am pretty sure that they can give you the shot before you get pregnant again. Check with your ob/gyn. My prayers are with you.

Relax. Miscarriages are very hard, but remember that 60% of all pregnancies end in miscarriage before 8 weeks. We almost never know the reason.

i do no longer think of so. that's basically undesirable while the mum is RH adverse and the infant is RH valuable. i don't have self assurance any scientific intervention should keep in touch if mommy is valuable and infant is adverse.
