how can i override my dvd recorder so i can record directly from an original dvd?

if it helps, i have a Panasonic DMR-ES15. And i have "DVDxCopy Platinum" on my pc. it's great but i cant burn "EVERY" dvd. i cant burn titles such as: Hitch, The Da Vinci Code, Invincible, Employee Of The Month, etc. those are just a few.

Hi Rob,

I assume you want to back up your personal DVD's and are finding them copy protected.

You need to copy them with your computer.

Get AnyDVD. It will allow any program to copy your DVD's.

Sounds like you are being defeated by the Macrovision protection. I looked up this player and the only thing I found is a link claiming to have a tool to remove the region coding.

Sorry, the only way I know around it is to use a pc with a dvd+rw drive and a tool like dvdshrink to rip the movie to disk.
