Generally, it's a bad idea. However, if you both take it with a mature attitude and keep it secret amongst your other co-workers, it can work. You cannot tell another soul or the word will go out. Keep your working time on working. After hours are yours. Be careful and have fun.

Keep it professional. Work relationships are frowned upon and sometimes banned in most companies. Also, think of the problems it may cause in the short and long run. Absentmindedness, favortism, jealousies, and if/when you split up, discomfort for everyone in the workplace that has to put up with you two. If he is way older, it does not sound like the type of relationship that will work out anyway. Don't risk your job over it.

i would say keep it professional. Why? because what if things don't work out if you go out with him, then your left with seeing him at work, and then when hes around you your going to feel uncomfortable. Just start out as friends and see if hes really into you then you go for it. Flirting is a guy thing they do it all the time what if hes flirting with your other co-workers have you ever thought of that? well i hope me answers help you.

GO FOR IT!! That's exactly how I met my husband. He is a few years older than I am and we work together every day. I like it. I can't imagine going to work everyday with out him. It gets under my skin some days when things are going right, but for the most part, it's great.

We do not work in the same area of the company so it does not effect our jobs. That's a big plus!!

There is a thing known as the MBTI which is like the personality quiz at http://www.kiersey.com

There are certain personality types that are highly likely to think this is a couch friendly area

If both you n your person are those types there will be less muddiness

That said the company cares most about your productivity levels If they have a policy about dating you have to think about that

"Wrong" really isn't the right word here......"Complicated" would be more appropriate. Inner office relationships can really mess up a good working atmosphere, and can even put jobs in jeopardy. The flirting is fun, but it could be dangerous to take it any further.

You better check that couch for stains 'cause you aren't the first to be on it. I can't believe there are really women out there this stupid...

If you go ahead and do it, take it deep and get pregnant 'cause you're gonna end up losing your job either way. Might as well get a 'severance package' out of him !

as long as you don't work in the same department i don't see any thing wrong with dating a co-worker. as for the couch in his office you need to keep it professional

hey, if he's not taken!
But if you guys work together directly like in the same department I'd reconsider. Life is like survivor-if things go south with the two of you he could influence other people and you could get voted off! Be careful and be aware of the consequences!

Keep it professional! It's better for your reputation. Besides, if you do sleep with him who is the say that when you get a future promotion people won't be whispering if you got it because you were with him.
