The Red Sox won a World Series. Phil Mickelson won. Peyton Manning finally won. Title droughts end.

The Sabres will win the Cup in this era. They'll be like the Wings or the Devils for the next 10 years with the home grown talent that's on their team. I think it's a matter of time before they win.

But they are fragile. I think the Ducks are the best team in the league at this point, but it's always very very close at the top. Literally any of the 16 teams have a shot to go all the way, although a top regular season team usually finds inself with the Stanley Cup.

Even without Drury, this team has the talent and the experience to make a run to the Cup finals. If they can get healthy before the playoffs, I really don't see anyone from the East stopping them. Buffalo's toughest opponent in the East could be Tampa Bay, but I don't think they have the depth to play with the Sabres. I think they could definitely give teams out west some trouble, especially the Ducks and Preds. The Red Wings are playing some good hockey and could set up and interesting finals between Bufffalo and Detroit. Do I think they can win it all? Absolutely. Will they win it all? If they get healthy, yes. If they stayed injured, no.

Of course not, because the team is in Buffalo. It is the same reason that Cleveland and Seattle can not win anything. They are all cursed cities. Something terrible and bizarre will probably happen that will prevent it too. I can just picture the Sabres tied late in the 3rd period of Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals and a drunken Scott Norwood jumps on the ice and kicks the puck past Ryan Miller and then they will go to the video replay and miss the fact that anything out of the ordinary happened even though Norwood will be on the screen booting the puck in to the net. God I hate Brett Hull, and John Elway, and Ben Roethlisberger, and Jerome Bettis, and the Cowboys, and the 'Skins and every other athlete/team who has f'ed over the cities starving for a championship. But I digress in to nothing...

I'm assuming you mean the Stanley Cup. The Bills won AFL championships and the Bandits have won indoor lacrosse championships.

This team is the best chance this organization has had in years. They have a top line that is almost uncomparable in terms of talent and they have players who are putting their personal stats aside to focus on the team concept. Miller will wake up at the end of the season again, like last year, but this years D-men are better, but I'd like to see Reiger obtain 1 more as an insurance policy. Paetsch will move to forward if they can get Spacek back and another D-man as an insurance policy.

Yes, I believe so. I'm a Sabres fan and all, but I honestly do think so. Sabres got depth, great offense, good defense, Power Play is getting better, Penalty Kill is getting better. They also got great goaltending with Ryan Miller and Martin Biron, but that could change if Biron gets traded before tomorrows trade deadline. They got 3 captains that are willing to pump up their team. If someone wants to mess with a Sabres player who doesn't/can't fight, we'd send out Mair, or POSSIBLY Peters. I'm not sure they'll dress Peters, playoff teams usually try to keep all players who can actually contribute besides fight. But yes, I believe the Sabres will win the Stanley Cup 4-1 vs the Anaheim Mighty Ducks.

Hey man, Scott Norwood could never kick the puck into the net, it would wide left. But anyway, the Sabres, hopefully, us Buffalo Sabres/Bills fans need something to celebrate after soooo many years of torture.

TO PLAY FOR THE WORLD CUP (CHAMPIONSHIPS)
1ST THE SABRES WOULD HAVE TO BE ELIMINATED FROM THE STANLEY CUP FINALS NO LATER THEN THE FIRST ROUND
THEN THE INDIVIDUAL PLAYERS WOULD BECOME AVAILABLE TO THERE HOME COUNTRIES FOR SELECTION
IN GENERAL IT'S IMPOSSIBLE
MAYBE SOMEDAY BUFFALO COULD HOST THE WORLDS
GET YOUR SPORTS RIGHT
THE NHL ISN'T AS ARROGANT AS THE NFL !!!!
THEY DON'T BOAST THAT THE WINNER OF THE STANLEY CUP MAKES YOU THE WORLD CHAMPION
AS STATED,
(UNLIKE THE WINNER OF THE NFL'S SUPER BOWL)
THEY PUBLICLY STATE THE WINNER AS THE WORLD CHAMPIONS
I CONSIDER THIS PRETTY FUNNY AS ALL THE NFL'S TEAMS ARE ONLY IN THE U.S OF A.

Point blank if healthy they could contend in the East final but it doesnt look like they will get that far with the injuries that just keep on piling up. I am not 100% on Miller either although he has been pretty good this year.

Highly unlikely, they will probably be gone in the early rounds of the playoffs...they are to small and lack the grit they need to make it through...
