Chicago Illinois has both a zoo and an aquarium that are open year round.

Definitely! Brookfield Zoo, which if you are planning on going you may as well buy a membership because the day can be costly. Lincoln park zoo, which I have always loved the gorillas! There is a small zoo in Glen Ellyn/Wheaton area called Cosley zoo. It is free, but has few animals. There is also Blackberry Farm in Aurora, not sure if it is year rouns, but it is a great place. Small zoo, train rides, etc. FUN!!

yes lincoln park zoo in chicago is year around as is brookfield zoo in the suburbs. type in their names and get schedules and also directions, etc................
