You could go to makeup artist, dermetologist, and I use these two websites.

Like you, however, I use to think I had dry skin. The only problem was the blackheads on my nose and chin. Combination skin is oily, usually in the T-zone and has dry patches on the cheeks. Oily skin results in frequent breakouts all over the face.
I am not sure about the difference in combination dry skin and combo oily skin. Combo dry sounds like your T-Zone is normal, but the cheeks are dry, and Combo oily skin sound like the T-Zone is oily and the cheeks are normal.
Check out the websites though. They really helped me figure my skin type. Now I can pick out my makeup and have worked a cleansing regimine and moisturizing routine.

I am not sure how it is in Singapore...in the US they will ask you at any make up counter what type of skin you have (when you are getting a facial makeover or have interest in skincare products accordingly to the brand) and then accordingly suggest certain cleansers or moisturizers you should use prior to make-up application..

Combination dry skin means it is usually dry and rarely oily. Combination oily skin means it is usually oily and normal. If you usually have dry skin you are like me but if you think you may have combination dry skin your skin changes.

The difference in combination skin is that the jaws could be dry, and the for head could be oily, you can go to any large department store in you area to the clique booth, and yes they will test you skin for you.

If it's oily around the nose and dry on cheeks then it's combination skin. I wouldn't bother with the booths, they just want to sell products!

yeah you absolutely can, i've been to singapore and i've done a lot of shopping there and the clinique, lancome, etc counters are pretty much the same, so I would recomend going up to one of those (sometimes you have to make an appointment) and ask them to do your make up. It's really easy and free!
