Being mentally and emotionally abused. Feeling like I was expected to have no other life besides him. Not having ANY MONEY to call my own..sharing is a big part of marriage, and in my marriage i gave a lot, stayed at home with the kids, did all house work and cooked 3 meals each and every day, when the appreciation started to become expentancy..I started to withdrawl..and the abuse got worse and so did the situation. We did not have any communication, the harder I tried to communicate the worse things got, until i gave up on myself. After that it was down hill, he started being more abusive. A vicious circle. By the end of it, I had no vehicle and was home with kids and no car, no phone, and no money..not one dime. It was a prison.
I finally got fed up and decided the only person who was going to help me was me. I had to call a girlfriend to come and get me.
It was the hardest thing I had to do. Communication is important I learned afterwards a lot in counseling. Whatever you do, always communicate...without communication there is no marriage.

i'm not married but my parents are separated
my dad has depression problems and a image problem
my mom loves to put herself on a pedestal she says she isn't but she really is she just doesn't realize it
mom tried marriage counseling dad refused to go and no love for 11 years they are married for 20 something years... sigh

lying, cheating, and some dirty dealing killed my marriage. and just couldn't get him to come back and work on the marriage, it just didn't mean enough to him, so i moved on saving my dignity and self worth.

i was pregnant i was so happy i went out one saturday during the day to visit with my brothers in town cause they were leaveing for iraq in two weeks and i hadn't seen them since before i got married. and i wanted to be around them before they left when i got home my ex got angry with me for wanting to spend time with my brothers and not him he hit me a baseball bat in the stomach and i lost the baby and that was the end of it all.
