Parents respond to well thought out, researched arguements. And I believe if you do the full research you might be willing to wait a few more years. Try researching the pros and cons and having a calm discussion with your parents about both.

Im 23 and had mine done since I was 18. I love mine, its my favorite of 14 current peircings, but you should wait seriously a couple years to see how you may change because your a point that life is moving fast for you and you may not always be the way you are now. The reason I say that is because it will leave a scar on your face that will NEVER go away. Some people may not like that, I happen to take pride in mine, but Im off my rocker. Anyway, dont do it til your mom says yes, which she probably never will so I advise wearing a faux ring for couple of years or until she gives you the green light. Just buy a captive ring, a small one, and take tha ball out and slip it over your lip. Watch for the back of your mommas hand when she first sees it cause it looks really real. Take care.

You're 13... and this does make a difference. Just wait until you're a little older. I wanted my nose pierced when I was 17... i finally got it when I turned 18... I'm not 25 and totaly regret it. I have a small hole in my nose which is sick! I can't stand it... it doesn't go completey through my nose.. but it just looks like a huge poor... i'm always soo paranoid about it. I would totally recommend you wait a bit. you may end up changing your mind about it in a year or two. :)
(and Love your parents)... i remember going through my teens giving my parents a hard time... jsut remember they don't want to hurt you or piss you off.. they're just doing what they think is right. k? take care.

Well if they say you are really responsible you should say something along the lines of "Mom i am responsible and i am good girl and i think getting my lip peirced is a good idea. I have read things about how to take care of it and everything. Please let me get it done." That is what i said and it worked my sister said the same thing to our mom and she got her lip peirced the other day!!! Hope it works and if it dont email me and i will give you my sisters email address and she could maybe help you a little more than me!

hahahaha you can't really be straight edge at 13.
i think you need to be old enough to actually have the opportunity to do drugs in order to turn them down .
i have two lip piercings (my snakebites) and i didn't get them until i was 16.
actually, i got my first lip piercing at 14 but my parents made me take it out. your parents will probably do the same.

i suggest u wait a couple of years. I think you are a little young. do some more research and if you really want it right now then maybe talk to your parents once again...calmly...like a mature person. but i highly doubt they will change their mind.

this is not a rude answer. but i don't understand kids like you, lip piercing or any other piercing (aside form ears) does not look good.
It seems like you just wants attention.

The only help that i can give to you is to say (please do not have this done). it is unsanitary and it could set up an infection, that can break out you hold mouth. and it not cut at all, i say no to that.
