I will give them some silver lining to their very black cloud. You can only get better after last season.

The Raiders were hardly a football team. They have a middle of the road defense, but have no offensive. LT scored more TD's running than the entire Raiders offensive. The key here is motivation, not talent. They have some talent, they just have to get that talent to play or kick them off the team. What do you have to lose by kicking Moss, Gallery, and Brooks our of town? They can't get any worse.

Technically no. But they do have things to look forward to. A great young defense who was ranked 3rd in the league and 1st agaqint the pass and a first round pick which they can use on Jamarcus Russell a great Prospect who can make plays by himself and lead the offense way better than Aaron Brooks. They also have cap room that they can use to go after an O-lineman.

Short answer, no. But lets look at two important factors that they have going for them.

1. Picking Michael Huff out of the University of Texas, one of the best safeties in the history of college football, in last years draft helped their secondary to rank number one in the league in pass defense and third in overall defense.

2. they have the first pick of this years draft. Unless they pull a houston (passing on heisman-winner Reggie Bush and Rookie-of-the-Year-to-be and hometown favorite Vince Young), they'll go with Russell or Quinn to get their offense moving.

No. However, the defense is a top 10 defense in the NFL. The O-line is horrible, which causes the whole offense to collapse because they can't protect their QB.
