the lead singer was a girl, her brother was back up and her dad played guitar. I think they were a 1 hit wonder. Late 80's early 90's? I also think they went by their last name. Please Help

The Wilkinsons sounds right. Amanda WIlkinson was the lead singer. Their big hit was called "26 Cents", and had the chorus line:
"If you get lonely
Call me
Anytime at all
I'll be there
Always
Anywhere at all

That I wouldn't give
and money is never enough
Here's a penny for your thoughts

and all your mama's love"
They also had a hit called "Jimmy's Got a Girlfriend".
