I'm voting for one of these two in 2008. Which would have the edge? I'm leaning towards Hillary Clinton because I'm sure that Bill would help her with the presidency. Things were good under Bill Clinton. Obama I don't know much about but anything over George W..

I am also leaning toward Hillary because of her experience and wisdom. However I am quite impressed with young Sen. Obama. He is a very intelligent man and also has wisdom beyond his years. I think ether would make a good president and maybe even great. Something needs to turn this country around and fix all that Bush has done to harm her in the last 6 years.

Which one do you agree with more? Which one do you trust more? Don't make it a popularity contest, find out their policies. If you liked Bill, then you're probably right about Hillary's presidency being fairly similar. But from what I've seen, Hillary and Obama are both considerably more liberal than Bill was. As for experience, it seems to me they're both about equal. Obama has about twice as much personal experience working in government. But Hillary was more involved with Bill's presidency than any wife since Roosevelt.

As for Bush, he's not running. If you want to compare Obama and Hillary to republicans, the leading candidates right now are Gulianni and McCain. As neither of them represents traditional conservatism, they might be worth your consideration. For the same reason, I'd expect at least one more strong republican candidate to join the race.

Being ex-Army, I have always voted Republican. However, with the current administration's inability to find a good course of action, I won't be voting Republican in '08. -even though I do admire their hell-bent-for-the-horizon attitude when they pick a path

As for Clinton or Obama, I am hoping another person comes along for the Democratic party. I liked & admired Bill, aside from his personal indiscretions. I met him after a tragic plane crash at Pope AFB/FT Bragg in 1993 & found him to be genuine. His wife, however, I do not trust. She does have years upon years of experience in/around politics. Her experience is the one thing the charismatic, young Senator Obama lacks. My real hope is that another more experienced politician comes along & becomes the Democratic nominee for president, and chooses Senator Obama as his VP. Maybe after 4 or 8 years Sen. Obama would be ready for foreign policy matters, being cdr in chief, etc....

Hmmm vote for a Man with no Political experience or vote for a Corrupt woman lawyer. If those were the only two choices in 2008 I'd vote to keep the White House empty for 4 years

lvillejj ... You gave us the choice between Clinton and Obama. Between those two, I'm going with Clinton.

HOWEVER, aren't you forgetting the other candidates? I can think of several others who'd be better than Senator Clinton. May the best one win.

I would vote for Obama over Hillary. He is down to earth and not so "in your face" all the time. I saw enough of "Billery" during the Clinton administration. I didn't like what I saw of her then, and I don't like what I see now.

So you want us to decide for you? Why not either flip a coin or do research. Listen to the candidates. Pay attention to what they say and what they do. Then decide for yourself.
