If you still play football at your public high school and then are good enough to play at college, and then are good enough to get drafted, then you can be in the NFL.

It really does not matter if you went to high school or not, or even college. Some teams hold open tryouts, where anyone can participate. Other ways of getting to the NFL include playing in the Arena or Canadian Football Leagues, proving yourself there, then taking a shot at the NFL. Don't forget that there are plenty of players who went to high school, and/or big colleges, who don't make it to the NFL.

as long as you go to college home school doesn't matter

you should try out for the draft. if you get drafted then go for it.
