I think everyone should learn to type nowadays. Think of the time we waste just in a year by using three or four fingers to do the job!

Basically, you need the right tuition and plenty of practice, much like with the guitar. Eventually you get to the stage where you are no longer watching your fingers.

Get lessons or when you have free time practice typing the keys when the computers on or off. Do the ABC's so you know where the keys are, or go in the rows like qwertyuiop or asdfghjkl or zxcvbnm, learn the punctuations ans numbers, its basically easy.

Do something that you enjoy on the computer that requires typing. You learn very quickly out of necessity, and you don't even notice it.

I purchased Mavis Beacon Teaches typing CD. It''s great !!!!You can customize it to your own speed . You have games on it . It will learn you to type at your own speed and learn every single key on your computer . I'm using it now . Boy has my typing imroved dramatically!!!!Ive only been using it for two weeks and look at me now!!!
