why can't people accept my individuality?

at school and at home. im different than anybody else. there are people at school who just laugh at how i look different.

that's what i wore today
it's a pair of pant si made iwht striped legging underneath
with a black mini scarf, a blakc shirt, two studded belts, and a pair of boots, with my hair spiked up. some people also act like they've never seen purple hair before either.my mom doesn't respect what i like either. why are people so afraid of people like me? the people out of place

i don't need attention! it's just what i like!

i also hate it when people say that im gothic or emo which IM NOT... so don't even think about saying it. or ill leave you a very nasty message.

but im not the same. i don't follow THAT look. i follow my music. my one and only, motley crue. the music those other people i look jsut like is crap. it's RECENT. incubus, fall out boy, MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE, panic at the disco. it's all SHITT

also, if u want respect, wear abercrombie and/or hollister. it WILL get u respect, and FAAASSSSTTT!!!!! trust me =)

There are a lot of people that feel the same way that you do. Like people don't get them and no one understands them. But if you are trying to be different, then why not be different and not care about what people think? It took me a long time not to care what the majority of people think about me. Of course there are some that I care what they think but the ones that don't matter, who cares? If you let them get to you then they win, but if you can be as confident on the inside as you are with how you look on the outside, you wouldn't feel this way. Don't let people get to you, they're not worth it, you don't owe them an explanation of who you are

I dont know why they bother you so much... Im much worse than you in the way I dress as far as gothic and stuff, and people dont give me very much crap. it might be because they know it bothers you, just act like you dont care when they say your emo and eventually theyll lose interest. and also your too hot to make fun of.

my question would be, why do you need people to accept your individuality, go your own way and who gives a damn what anyone thinks. Thats part of being different, is not caring what the masses at your high school think of you, be one step ahead of all the little clones out there and stop caring what others opinions of you are.

You'll learn to either give in and be a sheep or continue to allow your self-esteem and creativity to blossom. I don't know if you're in high school or not, but that period is just a blip in your life. Those that make fun of you peak in high school then get fat and boring.

I know about ten other people who look and dress exactly like you. If you ask me, you are trying too hard to be "different" by following a certain trend. It's like a prep complaining about how nobody accepts their individuality. And by posting this question with so many pictures, you are screaming "look at me and how cool I am" you aren't looking for an actual answer. Feel free to follow any trends you want, just don't claim to have made them up. My advice to you is just be yourself and if you already are, don't go searching for justification.

i dont know what is wrong with the people at your school......but i think you are very pretty......i went to college with a girl who dressed similar to you and she is in medical school now....and she still has different colored hair.....sometimes green, blue, purple....whatever she feels like.....most people accept her but the ones who dont always have issues of their own....like feelings of insecurity, or of needing attention....pay no attention to them you are far better than anyone who would tease or pick on you....

lots of my friends are nothing like me some are preppy some are punk some are emo and some are gothic but idc they are my friends and i love how they look because it is THEM and if you are a real friend you don't make your friends change you LOVE them just the way they are
