In numbers only. Traditionally there have always been more libs than cons (i think it was like 55% to 40% a few years ago) in the general population, but if the libs are dominating, it's in numbers only. They obviously vote Republican once in a while.

I disagree. While there may be disagreement even in the ranks of the Republican party regarding Iraq, the most recent election certainly doesn't suggest that suddenly Cons everywhere are turning into libs. I'd imagine the ratio is still approximately 50/50. The Cons I know that are upset with the President (most over immigration issues) certainly wouldn't vote for a lib, yet they chose not to vote Republican to send the message that they wanted something done about immigration.
So while it may be "clear" to the "facts are superfluous" left that everybody loves liberal ideals like abortion, weak criminal punishment, and ever increasing tax hikes, I don't think your assumptions are accurate.

by "liberals dominate America" do you mean how they've infected our media?
by "nasty conservative streak" do you mean the inspiration of millions of Americans and the only hope for our nation?
and by "down the middle" do you mean the middle 95% of the country?
Liberal and dominant don't belong in the same sentence.
