Should we be able to have an option to pick at least the top five...?

i put it to vote, or do some research on the person.
i sometimes give it to the person who has less best answers to make them feel better.

Yes, it is hard to pick a best answer when there are too many good answers. I once thought of leaving a question for voting, but the answerers would expect the asker to vote for the best answer especially to a very sensitive issue. It took time to decide yet fulfilling for both parties when the question is quickly resolved. I wish we had the option to pick a top five answers, it would give a fair recogniition to other deserving answers.

Sometimes. I don't ask a lot of q's. But when I ask a hard one, that I really don't know the answer to, I pick the one that I think would solve it best, and hope it works. But if I ask a q like "do you remember" I do Ennie Miney (I have no idea how to spell it) to pick the bet answer. Maybe a top 3, not a top 5.

Mostly.
Sometimes i feel like voting for 10 best answers for 1 question.

As for the top five option i think ....
Best answer should be only ONE....
Options could given to give scores in a deducting rule .... say from 5 to 1......

If it's hard to choose, I pick the one that matches what I'd answer to the same question. That or the first person that gives a good answer ~ I hate when people give answers that other people have already given.

I just throw out the trash and the 'pervs' then look for insightful or funny. Plus I've found that I can usually count on a familiar group to provide a best answer nearly every time.
(By the way, you are in that group)

A top five would be good. I pick the person who gave the answer first when there's duplicate top answers.

Yes! I've only asked a couple of questions but it WAS difficult choosing just one best answer. I mean, people were trying to be helpful and they were so nice.

I finally came down to trying to choose the most thorough and complete answer and, if two seemed equally wonderful, the one that was posted first.

But we get three (3) points for choosing best answer, that's our "payment," so I can see why it's our "job" to pick one and just one.

Yes, I wish we could pick best 2 or 3

I've had some questions where it was a difficult choice. Once, I put the question to vote, but I'd rather choose one myself. A few times, I've chosen a best answer, and put my second runner up in the comments.

When it makes that natural instinct that says, that;s good.
OR
Just pick the nearest one from the top.(hate to do that when there are so many answers).
