I need to find a good hotel near the beach (walking distance) in Sarasota, FL. Any suggestions?

My budget is $170, max. I don't mind staying across the street from the beach, just as long as it's within walking distance of the beach. All I can find online are hotel chains, and it's hard to pinpoint any of the smaller hotels using online searches like Travelocity or Orbitz. If you can give me a phone number too, that would be awesome, thanks!

Stay anywhere in Siesta Key if you want good beach access. You may want to try the Tropical shores beach resort, the Crescent view beach club or the Captiva beach resort. Those three should be within your budget but it is the prime season right now. Good luck..
