i have to write a paper behind the science of the movie THE MATRIX. and i was wondering how to describe the scientific impossibility of the scene when the Agents insert the bug into Neo's stomach through his belly button. What would happen if some1 put something into your belly button? would it end up in your stomach? alright thanks to those who help.

You might want to consider the different environment a bug might face if injected into someone.

1. Lack of oxygen
2. Increased temperature
3. Fluids (toxic, poisonous)

The bug probably wouldn't survive.

Dunno what would happen in real life....I just know in the Matrix the bug was entered in his belly button but considering Neo was just a digital image of himself projected into the matrix it wasn't really going through his actual skin. His body at that time was in a pod of the biofield.

The bug was a biological computer, such that it could pass through any tissue wall, arriving at a pre-programmed destination.
