Ovulation usually occurs a week or two before you start your period. This is to indicate that you are at your most fertile and you might also realise this is where you start to feel the most sexiest. As to the mucus, it depends on the colour and texture and if it has a smell or not. Medication can also have an effect. And also if you experience any pain or discomfort. These things are rather a little complicated so the best thing to do is to go to the doc. That would be the safest. Good luck and let us know, thanks for your question.
